Paola Bacigalupo is a Dairy Extension Educator for Michigan State University with a focus on parlor, milking efficiency, and udder health. She also helps farms with protocol and dairy education. Bacigalupo was born in Chile and studied veterinary medicine at University of Chile. Then, she obtained her master’s degree at Colorado State University where her research focused on dairy cattle epidemiology. She is also pursuing a doctoral degree at Michigan State University. Her research investigates the long-term impact of delayed milk letdown, also known as bimodal milking, on milk production, aiming to enhance the understanding of this issue and improve practices in the milking parlor.
