Martin J. Carrasquillo-Mangual, M.S., P.A.S., is a Dairy Educator with Michigan State University Extension, where he has spent the past eight years supporting dairy farms across Michigan. His work blends research-based science with practical, on-farm experience. With a focus on workforce education, he supports dairy employees by increasing skills and technical knowledge. He also develops educational materials for producers related to herd management, feeding strategies, and overall farm efficiency.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Carrasquillo-Mangual grew up on his family’s farm. He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Puerto Rico–Cayey and a master’s degree in animal science, with a concentration in dairy nutrition, from Michigan State University. Throughout his career, he has presented at state and national conferences on dairy management and nutrition, workforce development, and sustainable practices. He is committed to providing accurate, accessible information to farmers and believes the future of dairy farming lies at the intersection of science, education, and people, empowering both farm businesses and their workforce to thrive.
