United Dairy Industry of Michigan
Jolene has worked for Michigan’s dairy farmers at the United Dairy Industry of Michigan for nine years and spent the previous seven years working for US dairy farmers at Dairy Management Inc. As Vice President of Industry Relations, Jolene shares with dairy farmers the work of dairy promotion to connect with consumers in new ways about dairy foods and dairy farming practices, with the mission of increasing trust in and sales of dairy foods. Jolene is also the crisis team leader, bringing together the industry during crises and helping dairy farmers create plans that can be implemented during a crisis.
As a lifelong dairy promoter and consumer, she knows the importance of sharing dairy’s story and helps farmers make personal connections with consumers through social media, presentations, and community events. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and Natural Resources Communication from Michigan State University. Jolene is proud to have started her career on her family’s dairy farm in Hastings, MI, she can be found there often either helping with chores or instilling the passion for dairy onto nine nieces and nephews she adores.
